Spring Inspiration

The long haul to spring has begun. Those bitter cold 2.5 months until a big thaw. But let’s not focus on this fact too much. Anticipating a jaunt to the J.Crew warehouse sometime soon, I’m hoping to snag some pretty, gauzy pieces and maybe some super bright ballet flats and heels.

Some inspiration for my spring / summer wardrobe was gleaned from the read-to-wear J. Mendel Spring 2011 line. I love the pairings of simple muted colors with a pop of color on the lip and heel.

I especially love the belts which look almost like grosgrain ribbon combined with metallics. I might have to head over to The Second Yard and pick up some pretty ribbons to make into a simple belt.
