Local Spotlight: Kelly Witt Design

A few months back, the excellent local shelter publication C-Ville: Abode featured local interior designer Kelly Witt’s lovely house that she shares with her husband Clay. We love their mix of tailored upholstery and whimsical accessories, like an oversize mounted ram’s head and wiry light fixtures. It’s definitely worth a read.

“Match the scale of your furniture to the size of the room. Too-large pieces make even the biggest rooms seem smaller. Roll on plenty of paint when testing a color. Leave the swatches in place as long as possible because color changes drastically in different light. Be certain you love your paint color—even on a rainy day.”- Kelly Witt

“Keep your more permanent fixtures and furniture classic and neutral, and add color with accessories and accents. My favorite color changes frequently!”-Kelly Witt

Great post. Thanks for the PR for Kelly and linking back to my site.

Lovely! I would love to know where Kelly found that little white desk/table. I need to downsize my “office” to make room for a baby, but still want at least a tabletop of my own!
