Mix of the Week

Today’s mix is roughly inspired by California. (We head back to Cville in one hour.) Some of these bands are from California and others are not. Maybe this will bring you some warmth or perhaps a smile to start the work week? P.S. the Steely Dan song should be understood for what it is; hilarious (AND pure pop perfection).

Click here to listen to the mix.

  • Do It Again – Steely Dan
  • Rumble – Link Wray
  • California – Joni Mitchell
  • Alone Again Or – Love
  • California all the Way – Luna
  • Eight Miles High – The Byrds
  • Sleepwalk – Johnny and Santo
  • Come Back from San Francisco – The Magnetic Fields

P.P.S. Sorry that I do not have a link to the mix today. Traveling has gotten in the way of uploading the songs this morning. I will add them tomorrow, promise!

I think a SF mix needs The Decemberists’ “Grace Cathedral Hill”! Love your mixes, tho, Stef.

  4. Carol says:

I have listened to this mix about 4 times -James has often berated me for running music I like into the ground but C’est la vie-the sounds are sweet to my ear.
