1stdibs

Am I the last one to hear about 1stdibs? What a treasure trove! Here are a few of the pieces that are inspiring me this morning.
Also, I am in the market for some leather wingback chairs, but would rather not ship them across the country. Any thoughts on where to go in Charlottesville, Richmond, or the DC area?

Green Front furniture in Farmville! Huge old brick grain buildings spanning about 3 blocks of downtown Farmville FILLED with furniture. They have a discount leather section, which is where we scored our couch. They carry all styles of furniture, rugs (amazingly cheap wool Persian rugs), etc. I sound like an ad for the place but it’s really worth a day trip down there. Cville delivery is $60 bucks or so…

Thanks for the tip! What’s the deal with furniture in Farmville?

Hmm…not sure. I just know about Green Front from going there last year. It can be quite overwhelming–so many options–but definitely worth a day down there to see what they have!

i second the suggestion on green front furniture, it is pretty overwhelming but also amazing.

Take your measurements with you. Many of there pieces are huge in scale, but it’s hard to tell that in the large buildings.
