Thirty Three Windows

Time to brag about my amazing friends…

This is Pete and Melinda.
Pete and Melinda are dear friends of mine in the midst of renovating their DC row house. And they are blogging the whole thing. It is a fascinating process to follow as they post photos on a weekly basis. They’ve designed the entire space and are managing construction themselves.

The two of them are a veritable powerhouse with good taste and modern sensibilities paired with experience in architecture and interiors. Melinda (LEED, AP) is the director of interior design at a large firm in DC and Pete is an architect working for a prominent firm. Melinda’s work has been featured in the New York Times and various interiors blogs.

They have just started framing up the new house and progress is really speeding up. They are beginning to choose fixtures and design details. Below are some of their picks. I love!

Click the photo above for more info on each piece. I can’t wait to see what they do with the interiors. And for a taste of some of Melinda’s commercial work, see below:

“To accentuate the cosmopolitan feel of the space, we collected photography and ceramics from local galleries in black, white, and neutral shades. The sensual lines of the pieces add a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine space. The rich colors in the photography above the bed and unique lighting bring a playful element to the room.”
