Montargis and Vimory

This week two years ago, my husband and I and our then 8 month old daughter were embarking on an epic adventure to France to visit my husband’s family. We spent 3 weeks there, mostly in Paris, but we also travelled to the countryside towns of Montargis and Vimory where some of his family live. We stayed with his aunt and uncle in their incredible farm house in Vimory and enjoyed many picnics, strolls, and fresh cherry picking from their yard. Montargis, the neighboring town, is known as ‘Little Venice’ because of the canals that run through the city. I am nostalgic for that time, miss my dear family over there, and can’t wait to go again this December.

Have you ever been? What is your favorite place?

Simply beautiful. I love the picture of sweet Madeline as a baby… what a trip! You guys were SO brave taking your baby to Europe, I don’t think we would be able to pull it off!

Paris 2011? We can take a train straight from Oxford to Paris (4 hrs) and have found tickets as cheap as £20!
