Monday Mix: Music & Weekend

This past weekend some of my best friends from DC left the District for the weekend and threw a big 30th birthday bash for a dear friend at a house in Lake Monticello.

We went swimming and canoeing, talked for hours and cooked a big huge birthday dinner.

Nice matching shirts!

Isn’t my friend’s outfit fabulous? I love how she paired a safari print with a striped shirt and those pretty pink nails.

We stayed up late talking around the table, recalling epic stories from our days together in DC and how we all met.

So for today’s mix I thought I would share some of the tunes we listened to in the car on the ride out to the house. My husband always puts together the best mixes. It was a beautiful, hot summer day and we just love driving on country roads with the music blasting. It was a good thing we had good music to get us through the stress of navigating Lake Monticello—that place is crazy complicated!!
